self-conscious with her enlarged, asymmetrical labia minora since
childhood. Her left labium is much larger than the right.

A 26 year old woman with enlarged
asymmetrical labia minora. Her clitoral hood and prepuce are more
prominent than Figure 1. The anterior portion of the left labium has
a thicker edge. The labia are more prominent anteriorly than
posteriorly.

labia minora. Notice the lack of any visible scars and the very

15 year old female with enlarged labia minora and clitoral hood. She
had discomfort in clothes and with sports and also disliked the
appearance.

D) Postoperation (6 weeks) with the labia minora opened. The scars
are difficult to see.
36 year old female who had trauma to her left labium minora at age 3
causing a large laceration. She underwent repair of the laceration
and labia minora reduction.
A. Labiaplsty Preoperation. The labia minora are enlarged.
B. Labiaplsty Postoperation at 4 months, so the area is still
slightly pink.
C. Preoperation with labium spread open. The large labial tear is
easily visible.
D. Postoperation Labiaplsty with labium spread open. The tear is
eliminated.
A 21 year old with
discomfort who also dislikes the appearance of her labia minora and
clitoral hood.
A. Pre-op: Enlarged labia minora with redundant
clitoral hood.
B. Pre-op: Labia minora separated
C. Post-op: Labia minora and clitoral hood reduced
D. Post-op: Labia minora separated
